The competition was held during the difficult pandemic and self-isolation period and self-isolation, and was aimed at moral and material support for artists. The theme of the competition was “Fine Arts during the period of self-isolation.”
More than 250 applications were received from artists from all over the country, including Siberia and the Far East. The authors sent paintings in different genres and techniques: portrait, self-portrait, landscape, still life, animalistics.⠀
The jury, consisting of St. Petersburg gallerists, artists-members of the Artist Union of Russia and the founders of the Art Support Fund “Kraski Zhizni”, got acquainted with each competitive work and named the six finalists.
• Galina Kazarinova (“Self-Portrait in a Mask”) became the winner of the “Creating at Home” competition.⠀
• Second place shared by: Maria Veretutina (“Sleep during a pandemic”); Dmitry Selivanov (“Petrusha”).⠀
• The third place winners are: Lera Popova (“Agenda – Food”); Maria Dobrovolskaya (“Self-portrait”); Lena Zaprudskikh (“Boys on the Balcony, or Spring 2020”).
The total prize fund of the competition was 100,000 rubles: for the first place (30,000 rubles); two 2nd place winners (20,000 rubles each); three 3d place winners (10,000 rubles each).⠀
