Starting May 18, a team of talented artists — Elena Murasheva, Margarita Baranova, Olga Kabaeva, and Alexey Tupeiko — set out on a seven-day plein air expedition to picturesque and historically significant sites in Crimea.
The unique city of Balaklava, a place where history, nature, and inspiration intertwine, was chosen as the location for their artistic immersion. Here the artists will create their masterpieces, capturing the unique shades of the Crimean landscape in their brushstrokes.
The second wave of artist-in-residence will begin on June 1 as part of the “Plein Air-2026. Crimea. Balaklava” project, organized by the “Kraski zhizni” art gallery.
We present the participants of the second program:
– Alexey Dobrovolsky;
– Tatyana Mashkarova;
– Svetlana Shpakovskaya.
All artists are graduates of the Ilya Repin Academy of Arts and regular participants in group and solo exhibitions at the ” Kraski zhizni ” gallery.
The plein air is organized by the ” Kraski zhizni ” Arts Support Foundation.
We will follow the project’s progress and share the creative successes of our residents with you. We wish the artists inspiration, wonderful weather, and exciting creative discoveries!
